School holiday activities: Library

As previous school holidays, I also registered her on the library school holidays activities. The best part is that it's free, but you need to book in really early as the places are very limited and you tend to be in the waiting list.

Do check it out at your nearest public library on the activities offered, as early as two weeks before the school holidays come to secure a place =)

Making pop-up puppets in Knowledge Centre. Started off with a story telling session.

Making finger puppets. (Noticed the headband on her head? The one that she made during the little Crafters workshop =) )

School holiday activities: Little Crafters

I also enrolled Maryam for some school holiday activities organized by the Little Crafters.
There were many activities to choose from, suitable for both girls and boys. Each workshops cost $12, held at the Cannington Exhibition Hall, from 12pm for an hour per session.

More information on Little Crafters can be found here.

First workshop was Making Flowery Hairclips and Accessories.

The second was Making Fragrance Sachets.

And the third one was on sciences; Making a Construction Telescope.

Alhamdulillah, Maryam enjoyed herself during all these activities. If you're interested in enrolling your child/ren in one of the Little Crafters activities next time, do look out at their website especially when the school holidays are around the corner =)

School holiday activity: Triassic Fun Park, Canning Vale

During last school holidays in July, I had the chance to bring Maryam to this newly introduced Triassic Fun Park in Canning Vale. Alhamdulillah, thanks to Ummu Adam & Ayra for the recommendation. It was not that far from our house,  located at the same row as Kambos and near Livingston Shopping Centre.

Since Maryam's school had a winter break one week earlier than other schools, I took that chance to bring her while the other schools are still open; cheaper rate as it's not peak time and less crowded =D We only pay fees just for the children and adults goes FREE! Yeay! hehe..and it cost $10.50 during non-peak time.

This indoor park is similar like other indoor place that we've been to, such as Jungle Gym etc, but a bit smaller. There are play area, Dino ride area ($2 per ride), bumper car ride ($5 for 5 minutes), mini golf, ($7.50 per player), a cafĂ©, and also small private rooms where you can rent it out for small occasion or birthday party.

You can get more information from their Facebook page here . What I like the most is that their FB page always update you on whether their place is crowded and can still open for visitor at that hour especially during weekends/public holidays and other offer available.
