It's time to cut, cut & cut!

Still remember the strong wind in Perth about 2 weeks ago? You can click here for my previous post on that.

The large bourganvilla trees at our backyard cracked and fell a bit in towards the house, and had covered most of my backyard area due to the strong wind. Alhamdulillah, nothing serious happened, and we're quite relieved it does not fall to the outside of the house since there's main road right behind it. Furthermore, it would be much easier for us to trim the large thorny trees.

And Alhamdulillah, Allah made us easier too when we received this pamphlet.

Yup, it's green waste collection time. Thus, we don't have to think further on where to put all those thorny branches when we trimmed the large trees. We can just arrange it properly in front of the house for the collection as per date given, Alhamdulillah.

At first we thought that it would be easy to trim the trees. But, it's definitely NOT! There're many small branches and the thorn really makes the process difficult and a bit slow. We took roughly about 3 days (on and off during the days) just to settle it. Alhamdulillah, our backyard looks tidy although there're still rooms for improvement definitely.

We spent about 3 days just for this!
The green waste collector came and collect on Wednesday, Alhamdulillah. Our front garden is now clear, except those small branches and dead leaves left for us to clear up within a week after collection. They came in a large waste lorry and also a small tractor. The small tractor (as shown in photo) will dig and pickup the green waste and transfer it into the large waste lorry. Cool eh ?? =) I think this green waste collection will come quarter-yearly and seggregatingly according to the suburbs. Besides this, we also have the hard waste collection. The same concept do applies but the hard waste is for throw away those big furnitures or appliances. Sometimes people throw away furniture and appliances that is still in good condition during the hard waste collection.

Tractor that came to clear the green waste!
