Indoor playground / gymnastic centre @ Jungle Gym

Alhamdulillah. Really sorry for the long silence, since am quite occupied with houseworks and activities especially when the little princess is at home for school holidays. There're so many activities that we did so far and plan to do together, so that her school holidays would not be just plain and bored insyaAllah. May Allah ease and bless everything that we do insyaAllah.

Last Wednesday, we've had the chance to go to another indoor playground or gymnastic centre. I think this was her second experience to be in such places. Alhamdulilllah. Thanks to our dear friend, Najhwar for her brilliant idea to bring our kids here. Although it was just an hour and a half activity, but I believed Maryam had a great experience there.

This Jungle Gym is located in Willetton. You may take the junction just before the Bunnings on High Rd if coming from the opposite way of Leach Highway exit. The entry fee is $6 for kids and adult can go free. They played in the Playgym area, which opens from 9.30 until 11am for kids below 5 years of age and the older kids may enter soon after that due to safety. More info and details can be found in their website here

Graduation Night 2012

This week would be the last week of this term. So, tomorrow will be Maryam's last day of school in Kindy! Phew! it seems that yesterday was the first day sending her off for her first day in Kindy and now, she's going to her Pre-Primary insyaAllah. Next year would be quite hectic for a 5-year old kid for her, attending full 5 days of school from 9-3.30pm. I know she'll enjoy her school next year as much or even more like this year. InsyaAllah.

Since the school has comes to the end this year, the school has organised a Graduation Night for the Year 6 and all primary students as well as the secondary. Alhamdulillah. It was held at the Cannington Leisureplex, and I would say it's the best Graduation Night I've ever been to! Hhehe..Totally different from what I've been through during my school/university years. Alhamdulillah.

She together with all her Kindy & Pre-Primary friends made a cute performance on that night. I'll put up the video just at the end of this entry, insyaAllah.

Performing her 'Sailor Went to Sea'

Excited!

There are 3 different awards categories being presented to all year level, which is Endevour, Citizenship & Academic Award. We're quite surprised to see our beloved Maryam being announced as the Academic Award winner. Alhamdulillah. The teacher didn't inform us earlier, it's really a surprise for us! Alhamdulillah =)

Alhamdulillah!
Receiving award from her Kindy teacher =)

Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. =)
May Allah guide us & her to the right path, Always! Aameen!

Last but not least, enjoy her performance that night. Sorry for the upside-down video.

Durian crepe

Sekarang ni kalau kat Malaysia, penuh sensasi sana-sini orang sibuk cakap pasal durian crepe. Kita kat sini, melopong sahajalah tengok orang letak gambar, telan air liur. Hhehe..nak buat sendiri, kena fikir banyak kali. Hehe..Yelah, durian bukannya benda yang murah kat sini. Bila tengok resepi, macam senang aje (eceh) tapi itulah kan, nak tunggu sampai seru rajin tu taktahulah bila.

Tapi Alhamdulillah, rezeki tu memang kehendak Allah. Alhamdulillah. Dapat juga merasa minggu lepas. Berkongsilah dengan cik puan tuan puteri tu, memandangkan durian pun favourite dia. Alhamdulillah, orang memberi kita merasa. Alhamdulillah, sedaplah juga. Durian-kalau dah memang favourite, masak pun pasti sedap kecuali tempoyak.hehe.. Dapat extra lagi, durian cheese tart, Alhamdulillah.

Durian crepe (satu dah selamat makan) & durian cheese tart. Alhamdulillah

InsyaAllah suatu hari nak cuba juga. Maybe masa tu dah outdated la durian crepe, kita baru terhegeh-hegeh nak cuba buat.

Jalan-jalan WA: Busselton Jetty, Busselton

Now, am going to continue on our previous holiday to Margaret River. The next stop after Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre was to Busselton Jetty! Alhamdulillah. Arrived there about 1pm, had ur lunch and enjoy the scenery. Great place for photography!

Busselton Jetty is approximately 2km across the Geographe Bay, the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. There are several other activities that you may interested in besides enjoying the wonderful scenery, Subhanallah such as Underwater Observary, Interactive Centre and also riding the Jetty train along the 2km jetty.

Since we're on a tight schedule, we only went to the Interative Centre, where the souveniors shop is. Once you reached the jetty, you can clearly see a blue building which is the Interactive Centre, there's a small Heritage Museum; with loads of information on the jetty itself and also where you buy tickets for both Underwater Observatory and for the Jetty Train. If you opt to purchase tickets online (which I strongly recommend especially for the Jetty Train), you may collect the tickets there too =)

Oh yes, the entrance fee for the jetty day pass is $2.50 for adult and free for the kids (16years and below). If you want to have a ride on the train and the Underwater, the tickets are $11 & $29.50 for adults and $6 & $14 for kids below 14 years of age respectively. There are special entry for family pass too. For more information on this, you may directly click to their official website here

Enjoy the photos of the lovely girls =)

The Interactive Centre
Stay tune for the next entry on our journey insyaAllah.

Don't forget to continue praying for our lovely brothers and sisters in Islam in Palestine! Pray harder!

Jalan-jalan Perth: Dolphin Discovery Centre, Bunbury

Last Tuesday, we headed to Margaret River for the first time with our guests, Alhamdulillah. On our way there, we stopped at Bunbury, to have a sneak peak of the dolphin. Unfortunately, the dolphins weren't there showing their face at the Interactive Zone, Dolphin Discovery Centre although we arrived there quite early (I guess =) ) at 10 in the morning.

The centre is not that huge, just nice where you can see the animals feeding at a particular time, a short 3D movie (about 7-8mins) and other learning facts about dolphins.  You can also opt for the Dolphin Eco Cruise or even swim with on the wild side tour. More information can be found here

I'm here!

Bergambar dgn dolphin ni pon jadi lahh.. =)

Watching 3D movie

The ticket costs $10 for 3 visits (with no expiry dates) and $5 for kids aged 4 years and above. We didn't wait for longer time just to see the dolphins, since for the past few days the dolphins weren't there to visit. Besides, we have other stops waiting ahead before we reach Margaret River =) Stay tune!

Quran Classes

Since we postponed our ticket, Maryam got the chance to attend her first Saturday Quran class at school. There are many other classes according to the student's age and level. Actually the classes has started in Term 2, but we're not being informed on that. It's okay. It's such a small class with less than 10 students. Most of them are Maryam's friends from Pre-Primary class and a girl from Year 1.

The class is from 11am until 1pm. They start with short revision of previous class work. Then, continue with a new letter. Have some writing activity and have a short break for about 15 minutes. They played in the playground and have some snacks. Alhamdulillah. Looks like Maryam enjoys her Quran class very much and looking forward for it this Saturday insyaAllah.

Teachers' Day

The school celebrated the World Teachers' Day yesterday (29th) since Friday, 26th was Eidul Adha. That was one of the reasons why she insisted to go to school although we just arrived from KL that early morning.

She made her own Teachers' Day cards for her teachers. There are 4 of them. Since we've not much time to do it here in Perth, I brought along few coloured papers for her to make it while we're in Malaysia.

Busy making the cards

And these are the gifts for her lovely teachers!

I was thinking of making something together with her as a gift for her teachers. On second thought, since we're in KL, we just bought some lovely accessorries for them. Alhamdulillah. Sorry, forgot to snap photos on the presents individually. All were chosen and approved by the little princess =)

Back to normal routine..

We just came back early morning yesterday. Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us another chance to celebrate Eidul Adha in Malaysia. Definitely it won't be the same, since the other half weren't there with us, he's alone; working at site. I know, we should be grateful and thankful. Alhamdulillah.

The day when we planned to go back, I'm not that excited even to survey on the ticket prices. We plan, and Allah has His own plan. And of course, His plan is always right and the best for us. Changes happenned.

But today, we're back at our own routine here. I don't know why, from the day I landed, I really wanted to come back to Perth. Emotionally, physically distracted and unstable. It's not that I didn't miss my family. No. Maybe the hormon? Can I blame the hormon? Huhu..

Maryam having breakfast @ airport

Her activity on the plane

Sleeping time..

We had our Eidul Adha prayer at the masjid in front of my MIL's house. Pity my little girl, I forgot to bring her baju kurung Raya-left it the luggage at my mom's home. So she's just wearing a jubah, bought by her uncle from Jordan.

Before prayer..

Change tudung - wanted to wear the same colour like her cousin..
Am now still catching up with the house chores. Still feeling tired, dizzy and headache. May Allah ease everything. Aameen. Alhamdulillah, my little girl is okay. In fact, she still went to school yesterday, although it's a bit late at 10am. How strong she is.

Today & yesterday..

Today is the first day of new school term, Term 4. Maryam has been waiting for today to come because she misses playing with her best friend and doing the kindy activities at school. Unfortunately, she's been unwell since yesterday. Excessive abnominal gas, been vomiting few times yesterday and this morning, she has a fever. She refused to eat anything since noon yesterday and only drink plain water. Kalau dipaksa makan sekalipun, tak sempat hadam semua dah habis keluar balik. Kasihan anak umi!

I made this bubur lambuk few days ago when the other half was sick. I'm thinking of cooking the same for Maryam tapi lebih berair so that it will be easier for her to digest insyaAllah.

And oh yes, Maryam now has 2 cousins! The latest one is also a girl, which was born yesterday, Alhamdulillah =) Can't wait to meet her!

Nasi dagang perantau Perth =)

Alhamdulillah, masih lagi berpeluang diberikan nikmat kehidupan sehari lagi. Nikmat iman dan Islam, berpeluang menunaikan solat Subuh bersama suami seperti biasa. Alhamdulillah.

Mungkin mudah rasanya nak menikmati nasi dagang ni walaupun musim Raya.

Alhamdulillah, inilah hasilnya! Bau nasi dagangnya memang tidak sah lagi; ALhamdulillah - menunjukkan nasi dagangku berhasil..hehe..Bau halba kalau tak silap, yang membuatkan nasi dagang tu harum =)

Set nasi dagang =)

Untuk gulai pula, saya hanya memilih gulai ayam biasa sahaja. Mana tidaknya, kebanyakkan resepi yang saya jumpa, memerlukan bahan rempah nasi dagang spesial! Manalah saya nak cari di Perth ni..hehe.. (kalau ada yang tahu, bolehlah bagitahu saya ya =) ) Jadi terhasillah gulai ayam ala-ala kari ayam sebenarnya =)

Maryam @ Perth Royal Show 2012

Has been trying to update this earlier, but due to the large size of the photos, I took several times to try and upload the photos. Almaklumlah internet kawasan rumah bukanlah ADSL2+, tak sampai kt sini; but thankful enough to Allah. Alhamdulillah, at least ada la juga internet connection and tak duduk dalam tempurung sangat. Huhu..

This was our second time Alhamdulillah. Managed to get the discounted ticket at $23, thanks to our friend yang sudi offer untuk belikan at the first place. We went there via train on Thursday as early as 8.30am. Alhamdulillah, managed to secure a parking space at the train station. Stopped at Perth station, going there via express train direct to Showground station.

Remember the previous entry regarding few officers checking the train tickets randomly? This time I witnessed it in front of me while on the waiting to Perth station. The men was dressed smartly in coat, sitting right in front of us. While the officer checking our tickets, he was pretending to find his ticket. Then when the train stopped at the station, he quickly went out and went straight to the ticket machine! Nasib dia selamat, belum sempat kena check and kena denda! Takku sangka, pakai punyalah smart tapi nak naik train free? Huhu..

Okay, back to Perth Royal Show.. we headed first to the Pigeon area.

Some of the unique pigeons available.
Ayam garang!

Maryam got the chance to paint the egg. But the staff said she cannot bring back the egg since they're not sure of the hygience of the eggs -so the eggs will become the food for the animals..

focus..

her smiley face egg! Hehe..

We paid for one ticket for the yellow brick lane for Maryam. From the royalshow website, I'm interested on those learning activities that might benefits her. There are 7 stops altogether, which costs $10/ticket. Besides the activities, she got some freebies as well =)

Painted an apple to be pasted on the trees =)

Made her own wooden truck - of course with her dad's help =)

Tadaa! Her wooden truck =)

Antara freebies selain fruits etc =)
Lepaslah untuk aktiviti cuti sekolah di rumah

Her main aim - Abby Caddaby showbag =)

Oh yes, we did allow her to ride since the main attraction here was the colourful, exciting rides. She can only choose 1 ride; but Alhamdulillah,  anak ummi faham aje bila ummi &ayah bagi naik satu je..hehe
